Rebecca Bryant (www.watershed.pro)
Rebecca Dunn Bryant, is the managing principal and senior consultant with Watershed. Watershed partners with architecture and engineering teams, building owners, developers and contractors to create green building solutions tailored to the specific climate and culture of the deep south. Originally from Alabama, Rebecca moved to Colorado study sustainable design and social ecology in 1990, and worked in San Francisco and Houston before returning home to get red dirt back under her feet. She earned a MArch with honors from Tulane University, and is a registered architect and a certified Permaculture Designer.
Rebecca has been a LEED accredited professional since 2002. Prior to co-founding Watershed in 2008, she worked with Bailey Architects in Houston, TX and Walcott Adams Verneuille Architects in Fairhope, Alabama. Her architectural project experience ranges from the second LEED certified church in the nation, educational and laboratory facilities, to green model homes for the first conservation community in the gulf south. Rebecca also designed the Bryant’s green home, which was featured on Planet Green’s Renovation Nation. Along with her husband Clay, a wildlife scientist, the Bryants use their home and yard to teach about green living practices and sustainable design.
